Around the Unic 340

Patrick Neuilly has presented a Unic 340 to the Auto collection in the town of La Rochelle in april 2014.

The Unic T 340 A tractor out of a recent restoration, it is even better than new. It appears alone but, on the other side of our tent, wrer also presented: a GMC fire engin, a Unic_m9a, a Unic_p6, a Ford_cargo.

Above on left, a back vue of the tractor with the stand and on the right pisture, vue of the electric retardeur.

This Unic 340 A was part of an original series with the famous electric retardeur "TELMA" behind the gearbox. There thus has two drive shafts, between a box and TELMA and another between the TELMA and deck. The retarder does so, moreover, relay bearing Office.

To the left of the dashboard, a dial includes oil pressure, fuel level, water temperature, battery charge indicator, air tank pressure.

Here against, I cleared the image to see better the details that were lost in the dark. You can see the tachometer and its reflections. The same tachometer on the image above, after the tedious job of eliminating reflections. On the speedometer, I withdrew the maximum reflections.

These different types of Jaeger counters are commonly used in heavy goods and public transport.
