PACIFIC M26
The 2009 speciality came from the UNIVEM association. It moved an enormous PACIFIC M26,which landed in Normandy...some years ago ! It is difficult not to see it! 2.5 yards wide, 3.5 yards high, 7.78 yards long without its trailer. All details on the UNIVEM website: l'UNIVEM. How did the PACIFIC arrive ?
Four daring men tried to pull the 45 ton tractor ! They must have thought that they had found the quietest way of stealing this metal dinosaur ! Were they strong enough? Did their muscles cope? Did the Pacific move?
A friendly atmosphere is guaranteed at the biggest fair for all vintage motorised vehicles.
It is not surprising for those who know the world of French lorry collections if I tell you that Jean Pisapia is once more the man who thought and managed this ambitious idea. It was not easy to bring the 45 ton Pacific with an appetite of 150 litres for 100 kilometers. Jean Pisapia, asked "Lulu" to présent his Pacific model at the Locomotion en Fête 2009.
