I - Who are we?

The Camion Club de France is a French association under the '1901 law' created on 15 January 1997 and member number 381 of the "FEDERATION FRANCAISE DE VEHICULES D'EPOQUE". We have 200 members fond of vintage lorries all over France and Europe. The 20 February 2002 (2002.2002), the Camion Club de France website went on line.

II - Here are the creators of the club

Left to right, the men who founded the Camion Club de France :
Alain HERBUNOT, Alain RIOU, Jean Claude ACCIO, Jean Christophe ACCIO, Jean PISAPIA and Pierre BONAL.

In Paris there is an old restaurant which was called Le Cyrano, in a tiny street ' rue de la Roquette' north of the famous 'place de la Bastille'. Under this restaurant is a nice vaulted cellar. This was the place chosen by the group to meet every month and where the Camion Club de France was founded. A young French lady called LAM was working as a waitress in this restaurant before becoming famous. In 2009 the restaurant had a new owner who changed it's name. The group still have their meetings in the cellar. Jean Claude Accio has now an important function in the "FEDERATION FRANCAISE DE VEHICULES D' EPOQUE". He decided to give up his position as Chairman. Jean Pierre Saulet, elected by the members of the 'Committee' in the same cellar, became the new Chairman.

III - Objectives

1 - To save vintage vehicles

Hundreds of vintage lorries, buses, coaches, agricutural or military vehicules are saved and maintained by our members.
