In Paris there is an old restaurant which was called Le Cyrano, in a tiny street ' rue de la Roquette' north of the famous 'place de la Bastille'. Under this restaurant is a nice vaulted cellar. This was the place chosen by the group to meet every month and where the Camion Club de France was founded. A young French lady called LAM was working as a waitress in this restaurant before becoming famous. In 2009 the restaurant had a new owner who changed it's name. The group still have their meetings in the cellar. Jean Claude Accio has now an important function in the "FEDERATION FRANCAISE DE VEHICULES D' EPOQUE". He decided to give up his position as Chairman. Jean Pierre Saulet, elected by the members of the 'Committee' in the same cellar, became the new Chairman.
Hundreds of vintage lorries, buses, coaches, agricutural or military vehicules are saved and maintained by our members.
All year long, the Camion Club de France organizes or participates in exhibitions. They are the special moments which give new life to old vehicles. To start an engine, to drive a vintage vehicle is the collector's main objective. Click on the "Manifs" tab to se the year's programme.
Without members, nothing is possible. The Camion Club de France was created to unite enthusiastic collectors of vintage vehicles, to help with admistrative documents, to give technical information.
