Thierry Grignon presents a Renault AHS to the Locomotion en Fête 2013, located next to a Berliet GDR 7W. These two vehicles are "in juice". The AHS orange color and entries are from the origin of the construction. "La Meuse" was a famous brewery.

Began on 22 November 2011, the restoration of the AHS begins with a disappointing but still classic observation: the motor is blocked. Its owner not explain how he has remedied this unlocking.

He dismounted the front axle brakes repaired, changed every drumming. It took again the radiator, renovate the exhaust and disassembly and reassembly of the windshield and side glass doors, cleaning of the chassis and bodywork.

On September 1, 2012, it is as it is at this exhibition called "La Locomotion en fête".

In the early twentieth century, all the cafes and taverns serving beer "La Meuse".
This company based in Bar-le-Duc had to develop many production units in the territory.
In the Paris region, a very large brewery was built in Sèvres, on \ location of Caves du Roi that fed Versailles.
La Brasserie "La Meuse" last dismantling in 1985.
At this location has been constructed building .

AHN History

AHS3

Build between Renault AGR (1937-1941) and the Renault Galion (1947-1965), the Renault AHN is presented in 1940. Deliveries began in 1941 ... to equip the Wehmacht. Three versions will be manufactured: AHN 1; AHN 2; AHN 3. The AHN 1 had the lights embedded in the front. Many of these AHN were sabotaged on the chain (sand in the crankcase, starters bursting after a few requests, servo defective mechanical brakes etc).

I remember being with my grandfather in early 1945 to recover in the Bois de Boulogne, he does not had not been away, a AHN 1 which had been abandoned there because in starter failure that new.

The following modèl the Renault AHN 2 were build from late 1944 and AHN 3 from 1946 to 1947. During the 1948 exhibition, the Renault AHS, 2,5 tons 4-cylinder engine was replaced by the first 1000 kg which will become late career "La Goelette". Renault AHN will be replaced by "Le Galion".
